Real questions, real answers

What if I'm new to insurance?

Most of our top producers had zero industry background when they started — including parents coming back to work after years off, teachers leaving the classroom, and people who'd never sold anything in their lives. The training is built for first-timers. Sales experience helps but isn't required.

Is this commission-only?

Yes, 100% commission.

Do I need an insurance license?

Yes, but don't worry — we walk you through the licensing process during training. Many people are licensed within 3–4 weeks. You cover your own pre-licensing course, exam and license fees, which vary by state or province. We coach you through every step.

Do I keep getting paid when a policy renews?

Yes. When a policy you wrote renews, you earn a renewal commission on it.

What does "vested for life" mean?

After 10 years with AO, you're vested for life. That means you keep getting paid on the policies you wrote for as long as those customers keep them. It's income you've earned for good.

Are there perks beyond commission?

Yes. Producers who hit performance benchmarks have earned paid trips to Iceland, Dubai, Ireland, Spain, Greece, Italy, and Mexico — recent destinations, not promises. Plus annual conferences, leadership retreats, and award shows.

Can I do this with kids at home?

Yes. The work is on your own schedule — although we've found that the more consistent you are, the more results you can achieve.

Is this an MLM?

No. AO doesn't charge you anything: no 'starter kits,' no inventory, and no need to sell to friends and family. We provide the leads, and we provide the training. You will need your own life insurance license, which is required by your state or province.
